Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using Roll ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

Description of service

Roll is a digital disposable camera app. You take photos in rolls of 12, choose a develop time, and receive your photos back after the waiting period. All data is stored locally on your device.

Your content

You retain full ownership of all photos and content you create with Roll. The App does not upload, copy, or transmit your content to any server. Your photos exist only on your device.

Prohibited content

You must not use Roll to create, capture, store, or distribute any content that:

• Depicts the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors (CSAM) in any form
• Is illegal under any applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Depicts non-consensual intimate or sexual imagery
• Constitutes harassment, threats, or incitement to violence
• Infringes on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others
• Contains terrorist or violent extremist content

Any use of the App in connection with such content is strictly prohibited and may be reported to the appropriate law enforcement authorities. We reserve the right to cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations related to prohibited use of the App.

User responsibility

You are solely and exclusively responsible for all content you capture, create, store, or share using Roll. The App is a tool — it provides camera functionality only and does not monitor, review, moderate, or have access to your content. Roll and its developers have no knowledge of, control over, or responsibility for any content created by users.

No monitoring or moderation

Because all content is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, we do not and cannot monitor, screen, or moderate user content. We have no ability to access, view, or review any photos taken with the App.

Data & storage

All photos and app data are stored locally using your device's storage. We do not provide cloud backup services. Deleting the App, clearing browser data, or resetting your device will permanently delete all stored content. You are responsible for saving any photos you wish to keep.

Device permissions

Roll may request access to your camera and location. Camera access is required for the App to function. Location access is optional and used to tag where photos were taken. You can manage these permissions through your device settings at any time.

Disclaimer of warranties

Roll is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Roll and its developers, officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of photos or data, or any damages related to content created by users.

We are not liable for any content captured, stored, or distributed by users. The App provides a camera tool only and assumes no responsibility for how it is used.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roll and its developers, officers, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict access to the App at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease.

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Province of Quebec, Canada.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
